Kokedama is a Japanase word that means ‘moss ball’. The Parlour Palm originated from Central Ameirca and is part of the Arecaceae family. To make our Parlour Palm ‘moss ball’, sphagnum moss is used to bind the roots. It is effective in improving air quality and is one the most common house palms in the world.
Though our kokedamas share the same look, they are not the same with the traditional ones. Our kokedamas are crafts that were inspired from the original version.
The Parlour Palm thrives in some shade but it is suitable to be place indoor and outdoor. To water, simply soak half the ‘ball’ in a basin until thoroughly saturated. Each kokedama is made by hand by our passionate Terra crew, here in Malaysia.
