Kokedama is a Japanase word that means ‘moss ball’. The Dwarf Umbrella Tree is from the Schefflera genus of the Araliaceae family. To make our Dwarf Umbrella Tree ‘moss ball’, sphagnum moss is used to bind the roots. The plant tends to gain easy affection due to its ability to adapt and grow in different types of condition.
Though our kokedamas share the same look, they are not the same with the traditional ones. Our kokedamas are crafts that were inspired from the original version.
Dwarf Umbrella Tree
The Dwarf Umbrella Tree thrives under bright light and semi shades. Thus, it is suitable for indoor and outdoor. To water, simply soak half the ‘ball’ in a basin until thoroughly saturated. Each kokedama is made by hand by our passionate Terra crew, here in Malaysia.
