Kokedama is a Japanase word that means ‘moss ball’. The Corn Palm is from the Dracanae genus of the Asparagaceae family and to make our Corn Palm ‘moss ball’, sphagnum moss is used to bind the roots. Some people call it Sejuang Wangi because of the fragrant it emits when the flowers bloom.
Though our kokedamas share the same look, they are not the same with the traditional ones. Our kokedamas are crafts that were inspired from the original version.
The Corn Palm thrives under both semi shade and direct light so it is suitable to be placed indoor and outdoor. To water, simply the ‘ball’ in a basin until thoroughly saturated. Each kokedama is made by hand by our passionate Terra crew, here in Malaysia.
