Kokedama is a Japanase word that means ‘moss ball’. The China Doll Bonsai is from the Radermachera genus of the Bignoniaceae family. To make our China Doll Bonsai ‘moss ball’, sphagnum moss is used to bind the roots. Adding this plant to a space would help soften the harsh lines of large furniture or fill empty corners.
Though our kokedamas share the same look, they are not the same with the traditional ones. Our kokedamas are crafts that were inspired from the original version.
The China Doll Bonsai thrives in the shade. Thus, it is more suited to be place indoor. To water, simply soak the ‘ball’ in a basin until thoroughly saturated. Each kokedama is made by hand by our passionate Terra crew, here in Malaysia.
