Kokedama is a Japanase word that means ‘moss ball’. The Buddhist Pine is a conifer in the Podocarpus genus of the Podocarpaceae family. To make our Buddhist Pine ‘moss ball’, sphagnum moss is used to bind the roots. They are somewhat statement plants and bonsai-looking once it has grown. Place this anywhere you desire to create a focal point in a space.
Though our kokedamas share the same look, they are not the same with the traditional ones. Our kokedamas are crafts that were inspired from the original version.
The Buddhist Pine thrives under bright light. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor. To water, simply soak the ‘ball’ in a basin until saturated. Each kokedama is made by hand by our passionate Terra crew, here in Malaysia.
