Partnership
Terra Garden Biotech, through a strategic alliance
with University Malaya (UM), had its first operational Plant Tissue
Culture Laboratory established at the Faculty of Science (Institute
of Biological Science) on November 2001. And again, through another
strategic partnership with the premier Forest Research Institute
of Malaysia (FRIM),

Terra Garden Biotech has been involved extensively
in the large-scale (contract) production of high-quality, elite
planting materials for the horticultural industry, using plant tissue
culture techniques. Terra Garden Biotech's partnership with FRIM
extended into joint collaborative research in the development of
appropriate 'weaning' technologies required for successfully acclimatising
tissue culture-derived plantlets.
Facilities
Terra Garden Biotech and FRIM is jointly involved
in developing tropical greenhouse containment systems for safe growing
& evaluation of genetically modified plants (GMOs); this work
is supported by an Industrial Grant Scheme (IGS) from the Ministry
of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia.

Terra Garden Biotech's design department, with
its combined experience and knowledge and conducted research is
capable of supporting the various kinds of design demands in the
development of biotechnology facilities, including, but not limited
to laboratories, phytochemical extraction facilities, GMP facilities,
and smart greenhouses for tropical climates.
